Folia spray trial in conjunction with Micromix.

For my final year dissertation I am running a trial for Micromix to look at the effect of micronutrients with fungicides to see if adding micronutrients to fungicidal sprays has an advantage on combating diseases. I will be looking at a monocote and a dicote to get a fair assessment of both types of plant. Supplies have been found of susceptible plant seeds in Cassata barley and a none disclosed varient of red cabbage.
This will be a pot trail using 10" pots with compost containing 2 plants in each pot. There will be 5 different sprays and one control with 4 different concentrations of each spray and 6 pots for each one of these, giving a total of 144 pots and 288 plants for each crop.
The barley seeds became available first so these were sown on 10th August. 4 seeds per pot were sown in case of any that didn't germinate.

The seeds germinated within a week and were thinned to 2 plants per pot.
On the 17th August the red cabbage was sown.
By the 20th August, most of the barley had developed a second leaf.
